OVERVIEW

The Somewhen Survival Society invites you to join us this September for an intimate evening of performance, folklore, and communal dining.

Gather beneath The Harvest Moon at Niton Village Hall as we share wild food, stories, songs, and the Society’s latest discoveries from the Somewhen.

Part performance, part feast, part gathering, this unique theatrical experience offers an invitation into an unfolding piece of Island folklore.

As the evening unfolds, the boundary between our world and the stories of the Somewhen begins to blur. We invite you to step inside a living mythology and celebrate what it means to be a survivor on this Island.

The Gathering
Step across the threshold into our 90-minute performance, with a 20minute intermission. We begin at 7:30pm; please arrive at Niton Village Hall from 7pm. Guided by members of the Society, you will uncover fragments of a hidden history, encounter curious traditions and forgotten stories that remain etched into the Isle of Wight’s landscape, and learn the survival skills passed down by those who have ventured closest to the Somewhen.

A Feast Rooted in the Landscape
You will enjoy a selection of wild bites and a harvest hot pot – flavours foraged from the very hedgerows that surround us.
