Wild Food Walk Freshwater

26 April 2026
2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Albion Hotel, Freshwater Bay, Freshwater PO40 9RA (West)

OVERVIEW

Join us to explore the seasonal larder, learn the folklore of our native flora, and connect with the ancient rhythms of the Isle of Wight. Whether you are a seasoned gatherer or a curious beginner, these walks offer a chance to sharpen your senses and deepen your relationship with the wild world around us.

As the Island awakens, the Somewhen Survival Society invites you to step out of the modern rush and into the hedgerows. Our Spring foraging walks are more than just a lesson in identification; they are an invitation to rediscover our landscape and the abundance it provides.

About the Project

The Harvest Moon Chapter: A Living Myth, A Foraged Feast

Through foraging walks, shared food, ritual and live performance, we invite participants to step into a piece of unfolding folklore. One in which they are not the audience alone, but are invited to become members.
