Come and experience Artswork’s Listen Up! Film Festival: six remarkable short films created by children on the Isle of Wight, working alongside professional filmmakers Bruce Webb, NOSY Creative Agency and Sam Lapham. Each film is bold, personal and unforgettable, offering a powerful response to one simple question: ‘If adults were listening, what would you tell them?’
Funny, moving and thought-provoking, the films explore what matters most to young people – from having a voice in local politics, including a plea to adults to stop sewage being dumped in our sea, to life in foster care on the Isle of Wight; from feeling unheard in school, to the need for spaces designed with young people in mind. Come along, listen closely, and see the Island through young people’s eyes.
The six films have been made by: Christ the King College; St Catherine’s School, IOW Virtual School, Medina College, St Mary’s Catholic Primary School and St Helens Primary School.
