More than 150 artists opened their studio doors across the Isle of Wight this May, welcoming visitors into their creative spaces.
The event wrapped up with a relaxed gathering at Quay Arts’ West Gallery, offering artists and organisers a chance to reconnect, share stories and celebrate the spirit of this much-loved initiative.
Celebrating community and contribution
Caroline Underwood, co-director of Isle of Wight Open Studios (IWOS), gave a heartfelt speech highlighting the importance of community and collaboration.
She also paid tribute to Dee Becker, press and marketing coordinator, who is stepping down after helping deliver this year’s event.
Dee Becker reminded attendees,
“IWOS is a team effort – not just those making it happen, but you, the artists.
“Without you, there is no event.”
Looking ahead: Volunteers for 2026
The team is already turning its attention to the future.
Organisers are seeking volunteers to join the IWOS Action Team for 2026, particularly those interested in helping with marketing and communications.
