Creative Careers Week is set to return this February, running from 3rd to 8th, with an impressive schedule of more than 80 workshops across 26 schools.

Now in its second year, the Future Creatives initiative continues its mission to inspire and educate young people about opportunities within the creative industries.

Showcasing the UK’s fastest growing sector
The creative industries are the fastest growing sector in the UK, accounting for 1 in 14 jobs—over 3 million roles nationwide. Last year, the Creative Careers Week welcomed over 900 young people from across the Isle of Wight, highlighting the commitment of local educators to shining a light on these career paths.

This year’s event builds on that success, featuring participation from 15 organisations and individuals returning for a second year, alongside 16 new partners. The workshops will cover over 50 roles within the creative sector, as well as creative opportunities in areas such as the NHS and diving, showcasing the breadth of careers requiring a creative mindset.

Encouraging ambition and possibility
Future Creatives aims to do more than just inform; it motivates young people to consider what is possible in pursuing a creative career, whether on the Island or beyond.

The week serves as a reminder of the many ways creativity intersects with different professions, offering practical insights into a diverse range of opportunities.

How to get involved
For those who missed the chance to take part in this year’s activities, there are still ways to engage with creative career opportunities.

Interested schools, businesses, or individuals can contact Claire Paul for more information on how to get involved in the future. See the 2025 Programme for more information.

Creative Careers Week continues to demonstrate the vital role of creativity in shaping the careers of tomorrow, offering inspiration and practical guidance to the Island’s next generation.
