Creative West: Book now for first meeting

A networking and listening event to celebrate and support the cultural and creative sectors in the West Wight.


Creative Island is developing a series of creative hubs across the Island with the ambition of encouraging collaboration, sharing resources and information and identifying common ambitions within the sector.

Having established the first of these in Ryde and starting an equivalent grouping in Cowes, we are keen to initiate a conversation with the West of the Island.

This initial meeting at West Wight Sports and Community Centre, is for anyone who is curious about how the work they do contributes to the quality of West Wight.

The venue
The West Wight Sports and Community Centre Trust is a registered charity (reg number 273334) providing activities which supporting the community’s physical and mental health and well-being.

Based in Moa place, Freshwater, on the IW, the sports and community centre has swimming pools, sports hall, gym, cafe, meeting rooms, community centre, exercise classes, community kitchen, hair salon, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic clinic and lots more.

The Centre is a hub for the West Wight community providing a diverse range of services including supporting the vulnerable and isolated, providing youth services aa well as all the traditional activities associated with a sports and community centre. There is paid parking available in the council car park at the venue as well as limited on street parking.
