As has been seen over previous months, Creative Island is taking a proactive approach to supporting the cultural community on the Isle of Wight, and committed to holding a series of local conversations with creatives.
The aim of these sessions is to discuss and listen to the unique challenges and opportunities facing the cultural community. By doing so, Creative Island hopes to foster collaboration, share valuable information, and encourage networking among those working in the creative and heritage sectors.
Sessions held in Ryde, West Wight and Newport
So far, Creative Island has hosted several sessions in Ryde, West Wight, and Newport. These meetings have provided a platform for local creatives to come together and discuss shared experiences and potential opportunities for collaboration.
Now, Creative Island is inviting creatives in Sandown and the surrounding areas to join the conversation. The next session is scheduled for Monday, 16th September, from 6pm to 7.30 pm at Sandown Library.
Open invitation for Creatives
The upcoming meeting in Sandown is open to anyone from the area involved in the cultural community. Creative Island is encouraging all local creatives to attend, share their insights, and contribute to the discussion.
Those interested in attending can reserve a free space by booking now. We’re hoping this session will be the start of regular meetings, potentially held twice a year or even more frequently, to continually support and nurture the cultural community in The Bays.
Stay updated for future meetings
Creative Island plans to continue these conversations across the Isle of Wight. We encourage everyone to stay updated through the social media channels (Instagram and LinkedIn) for announcements about future meetings in different areas.
By bringing together the cultural community, Creative Island aims to build a stronger, more connected network of creatives on the Isle of Wight, ultimately enhancing the cultural landscape of the Island.
