Artists can now sign up for Isle of Wight Open Studios 2026
It’s that time of year again! Isle of Wight Open Studios will begin accepting applications from Island artists from Wednesday 26th November 2025.
The organisation has also announced dates for next year’s event, which celebrates the Island’s creative community.
Next year’s Open Studios will take place from 15th May to 25th May 2026.
Island-wide celebration of creativity
The event brings together artists, makers and creative practitioners from across the Island.
Visitors can step inside working studios, meet the people behind the work, and discover local creative talent through exhibitions, pop-ups and shared spaces.
Last year’s event attracted over 150 participating artists and welcomed an estimated 9,500 studio visits across the 11-day programme.
Supporting community and wellbeing
Participants and visitors praised the 2025 event for strengthening community connection and supporting wellbeing.

Many people used Open Studios as an opportunity to explore the Island in new ways and organisers will use this feedback to shape improvements for 2026.
How to get involved
The registration window closes at midnight on Sunday 1st February 2026.
Any artist, maker or creative practitioner living or working on the Isle of Wight can apply. See the FAQs in advance if you have any queries.
Participants can open solo studios, share spaces with other artists, use pop-up venues, or join group exhibitions and community spaces.
Each person must register individually through the IWOS website once the portal goes live.
Resources for participants
The event will feature a promotional campaign, an interactive online map, and the Island-wide printed Artist Directory.
All three resources proved popular in previous years and will return for 2026. Artists without their own studios can find information on the website about partnering with venues.

People interested in hosting an artist during the event can contact their local area representative through the site.
Community-driven event
Volunteers run the organisation with support from a network of Island creatives.
The event grows larger each year and supports local artists while boosting the visitor economy and promoting cultural participation.
IWOS Co-Director Georgia Newman said,
“Open Studios is one of the highlights of the Island’s creative calendar. It’s a chance to celebrate our amazing artists, open up hidden creative spaces, and welcome people into the heart of our cultural community. We’re excited to announce the registration dates and look forward to another brilliant year.”
