Creative Island will host its latest Town Conversation (The Bays) next month at Boojum & Snark (105 High Street, Sandown) on Monday 16th February from 6pm to 8pm.
We originally planned the event as the final session exploring “improving our sense of belonging,” a theme that has emerged consistently across all six Town Conversations locations.
Focus shifts to Town of Culture bid
With growing interest in Sandown applying for the Town of Culture bid, we’ve now adapted the evening’s focus to address this timely opportunity.
We invite you to discuss the bid itself, examine the possibilities it presents, and explore ways the community can collaborate on the application.
Connecting themes of belonging and ambition
Despite the shift in focus, the conversation will still address the core themes that have resonated throughout the Town Conversations series.
The evening will explore the sense of belonging, pride of place, and shared ambitions for what Sandown and Shanklin could become as part of The Bays area.
We see the Town of Culture bid as a natural extension of these discussions about community identity and aspirations.
