Listen Up is a youth-led filmmaking project from Artswork, giving care-experienced and other young people the chance to share their stories and ideas. The project begins with filmmaking residencies at Medina College and the Virtual School, where young people work with professional filmmakers to make their own films, shaping everything from the themes to the final production.

In the second phase, the project will work with IWCEP to give students in six Island schools the chance to speak about the changes they would like to see, using film as their medium. The project asks a simple question: if adults were really listening, what would you say? The project will end with a youth-produced touring film festival in Autumn 2026. Young people will help programme the screenings and run the events, building skills, confidence and connections that can support their future in creative work.
