Music Hub

Songs of Place is an Island-wide music project led by young people, inspired by the sounds, stories and landscapes of the Isle of Wight. Through songwriting, field recordings and making music together, young Islanders explore who they are, where they live and what matters to them.

Working alongside their peers, local musicians and professional composers, they will create original music that reflects their experiences of Island life. The project will take place in schools and community spaces across the Island, helping build confidence, creativity and a stronger connection to place.

The project will end with a brand-new piece of music created by young musicians and local music groups, the release of an Island soundtrack album on Spotify, and a large live performance in the Ventnor Exchange Arena.
