Tide Nor Time Players CIC, in collaboration with Carisbrooke Castle Museum and funded by the Isle of Wight Council’s Early Help Grant, is excited to announce the launch of a new Young People’s Performing Arts Group.

This initiative targets young individuals aged 13 to 19, offering them an opportunity to become part of a lively and inclusive performing arts community, led and inspired by the young people themselves.

A Platform for Youth Leadership
The new group aims to empower young people by giving them control over various aspects of the productions.

Young people will have the chance to select performances, manage staging, oversee direction, and handle budgeting. This hands-on approach is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience under professional mentorship and supervision.

The focus is on fostering an environment that promotes diversity, inclusion, and artistic expression. The group will serve as a safe space for young individuals of all experience levels to explore their creative potential and gain confidence through performing arts.

Open night introduction
To kickstart this initiative, an open night will be held where potential members and their parents can learn more about the group.

The event will include a detailed presentation about the group’s objectives and structure, followed by a question and answer session to address any queries.

Event Details
The open night is scheduled for Friday, 16th August 2024, at 6:30 pm. It will be held at the Carisbrooke Castle site, located at PO30 1XY.

Interested individuals are encouraged to book their place through the website. For further information, please contact Tide Nor Time Players CIC at 07500 864417 or via email at info@tidenortime.uk.

This new performing arts group presents an exciting opportunity for young people on the Isle of Wight to lead, create, and inspire through the arts.
