Last night (Tuesday 10th June 2025), Sam Cattee of Creative Island delivered two engaging presentations at the Knowledge Accelerator Programme, hosted at the vibrant Monkton Arts. The evening provided attendees with an opportunity to explore digital strategy through a creative and accessible lens.

Sam’s first presentation introduced Creative Island, outlining the organisation’s mission to support and connect the Island’s cultural community, alongside updates on ongoing projects.
The second half of the evening shifted focus to ‘All The Wonder’ – the Cultural Strategy for the Isle of Wight – emphasising how creativity and culture are being harnessed to shape the Island’s future. Read All The Wonder.
The core of the session focused on practical social media marketing advice for freelancers and small organisations. Sam encouraged attendees to:
- Align content goals with broader organisational or business goals.
- Start small and manageable – building a strategy doesn’t have to be overwhelming!
- Use analytics to learn what’s working and adapt accordingly.
- Think long-term, but work in small, measurable steps.
