Supporting Young Minds, the public art, youth-led programme for 13-25-year-olds, funded by Artswork, is in its final phase, with several events and activities being held over the few weeks. The Newport Youth Panel have completed their work in the windows of the former Top Shop building and are extending their art trail to other sites, including Newport bus station.

Meanwhile, a pop-up place-changing event is planned for Ryde on Tuesday 14th February, and a call-out has been issued for artists to co-produce a creative space for young people in Ventnor throughout March, working with Brave Island. Read more about how to get involved with the Ventnor call-out here.

Finally, the premiere of Sandown and Lake Youth Forum’s film Do Something Different will be showing at Sandown Library on 3rd February from 7:30pm. The film focuses on the experiences of young people living in the Bay area, and has been made in collaboration with Island director and film-maker Bruce Webb.

Come and support this important piece of Island film!
