The Ryde Arts Trail, a collaborative effort between Ryde Town Council and Community Murals, is set to launch Easter Weekend – Saturday 30th March, promising an immersive and inspiring experience for all.
On the launch day, artists will be present throughout the town, offering maps and insights into their creations.
Nine captivating artworks
The Arts Trail invites you to discover nine captivating artworks, strategically placed throughout the town, forming a walking trail that aims to spark discussion, as well as contemplation.
As you set off along the trail, you’ll spot QR codes accompanying each artwork, offering detailed insights into the artists and the inspiration behind their masterpieces. This will give you a deeper understanding of the creative process and the stories woven into each piece.
Where to start
The trail begins at Monkton Arts, from where you’ll be guided on a scenic two-mile route through the heart of Ryde, culminating at the seafront.
However, the route is not prescriptive, and you can explore in any sequence you wish.
Emma and Hollie from Community Murals, said,
“It has been great to collaborate with Ryde Town Council and various artists to create such beautiful and detailed murals across the town.
“Saturday 30th is a fantastic opportunity to meet the artists behind the murals and delve deeper into the trail.”
How to find the trail
If you don’t want to start at Monkton Arts, look out around town for the QR codes in windows of several Ryde businesses, or head over to the Ryde Town Council website on the day.
There’ll be physical maps available for pickup at select locations including Waterside Pool, The Star and Grace’s Bakery.
