Isle of Wight Open Studios announces opportunities for young artists: Don’t miss the deadline

If you know a young creative, aged 18-25, who s keen to showcase their work to the wider world, an exciting initiative has been announced by Isle of Wight Open Studios (IWOS) and Brave Island.

As part of the collaboration, four emerging artists will have the chance to showcase their work at one of the Isle of Wight’s most prominent art events. This opportunity not only offers exposure, but also connects participants with the Island’s dynamic creative community.

A platform for emerging talent
Selected artists will display their work at a professional open studio venue, hosted by an experienced IWOS artist.

The initiative embraces all forms of visual art, including painting, sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, photography, film, textiles and even performance art. This inclusive approach ensures young artists from diverse disciplines can participate.

Additional benefits
Winners will receive a one-year membership to IWOS for 2025, worth £65. This includes a listing in the IWOS printed artist directory and on its website, further enhancing their visibility.

The programme also offers mentorship from established artists, providing invaluable guidance to help participants refine their skills and grow their practice.

Who should apply?
The programme is designed for young artists without their own studio space who are eager to share their creativity and engage with the Isle of Wight’s unique artistic network.
