The Isle of Wight Open Studios continues to cement its place as a highlight of the Island’s cultural calendar.

Following this year’s event, which welcomed over 120 artists, organisers have announced new dates and a fresh vision for 2025.

The vibrant ten-day celebration of art will take place from 16th to 26th May 2025, opening doors to a diverse array of creative spaces across the Isle of Wight.

Strengthening community through art
Next year’s event promises to build on the strong community ties that have become a hallmark of Isle of Wight Open Studios. Area Reps will once again play a pivotal role, supporting artists in all four key areas of the Island. This approach aims to provide visitors with a seamless experience as they journey through the Island’s rich and varied art scene.

Artists can register, share events and showcase their work through the website that acts as a year-round hub for connecting creatives with local and global audiences.

A showcase for creativity
The 2025 programme includes the release of an Island-wide printed brochure, designed to guide visitors through the event and introduce the participating artists. A highlight will be the showcase exhibition at Quay Arts’ West Gallery, running from April to May 2025, offering a sneak peek into the extraordinary talent on display.

Georgia Newman, who, as well as being the founder of IW Creative Network and Deputy Director of Creative Island, is Director of Isle of Wight Open Studios CIC, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming event. She said,

“Our vision for IW Open Studios is to expand its reach and deepen its impact. We’re nurturing an arts scene that appeals to both experienced art lovers and those new to the arts.

“As a self-funded Community Interest Company, we’re delighted to have the support of Creative Island again for 2025.”

A call to support and participate
Georgia also extended an invitation to Island businesses to support the initiative. She encouraged,

“Could you support IW Open Studios to sustain and celebrate our Island’s cultural legacy? Get in touch via the website. We’d love to talk to you!”

Artists are invited to register on the IW Open Studios website by the end of December deadline. To stay updated, follow the event on Facebook and Instagram for the latest news, artist profiles and inspiration.

The Isle of Wight Open Studios 2025 promises to be an unmissable celebration of creativity. Save the dates and prepare for an inspiring journey through the Island’s unique artistic talent.
