Monkton Arts has extended the submission deadline for its prestigious Monkton Arts Prize.

Artists now have until Friday, 8th November 2024, to enter their work, giving participants an extra month to prepare.

New venue for shortlist exhibition
The extension comes as Monkton Arts prepares to host the Shortlisted Exhibition in a new location.

This year, the Mead Gallery will serve as the exhibition space, providing an impressive and contemporary setting for displaying the works of the shortlisted artists.

The new venue is expected to create an exciting opportunity for artists, allowing their work to be showcased in a fresh environment.

Prizes for adults and children
The MA Arts Prize offers substantial rewards for both adults and children.

For adult participants, the first prize is £1,000, with second and third place winners receiving £500 and £250, respectively.

Children are also invited to participate, with a first prize of £100. Second and third prize winners in the children’s category will receive £25 and a selection of art materials, aimed at encouraging young talent.

Entry fees and submission guidelines
Adults can submit their entries for a fee of £15 per submission.

Children, however, can enter free of charge, with a limit of three submissions per entrant.

With the extended deadline, artists now have more time to perfect their work, creating an ideal opportunity for both experienced and emerging artists to showcase their creativity.

A platform for artistic talent
The Monkton Arts Prize remains a key event in the local art scene, celebrating creativity across all age groups.

This year, the extended deadline and the new exhibition venue promise to make the event particularly exciting.
