With less than a week to go, art enthusiasts across the Island are gearing up for this year’s Isle of Wight Open Studios event.

From Friday, 23rd August to Sunday, 8th September, over 120 artists and craftspeople will open their doors to the public, offering a unique glimpse into their creative worlds.

A brochure to guide your journey
To help visitors navigate the five areas across the Island, the organisers have produced both an online PDF brochure and a printed version. These brochures provide detailed information about the participating artists and their studios, making it easier to plan your tour.

You can pick up the printed brochure at various locations around the Island, ensuring you have all the details at your fingertips as you explore the diverse art on offer.

A variety of artistic experiences
During the Open Studios event, you can expect to find an array of artistic expressions spread across studios, local venues, pop-up exhibitions, and galleries.

Whether your taste leans towards contemporary art or traditional crafts, there is something for everyone. The event covers a broad spectrum, including painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, textiles, jewellery, ceramics, and more.

Free admission and personal encounters
One of the highlights of the IW Open Studios is the opportunity to meet the artists themselves. Visitors can engage directly with the creators, gaining insights into their processes and inspirations.

Best of all, admission to all venues is free, making this an accessible event for all who are curious about the Island’s vibrant arts scene.

So, as the weekend approaches, take the time to plan your route and prepare to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of art that the Isle of Wight has to offer.
