Creative freelancers and small business owners on the Isle of Wight, in Southampton, and in Portsmouth can take part in two new free Skills Bootcamps this September.
The programmes, run by Mastered and supported by Solent Growth Network, focus on business development and digital creativity.
Business and AI skills training
The Business and AI Skills Bootcamp starts on 9th September 2025.
Over ten weeks, participants will learn how to win more clients, market themselves with confidence and improve their workflow with AI tools.
Topics include branding, digital marketing, pricing and time management.
After the course, six months of further support will be available to help freelancers and small businesses put their new skills into practice.

Blender training for freelancers
A second bootcamp begins on 10th September 2025 and focuses on Blender, the 3D modelling and animation software.
This training is aimed at beginners and those starting to develop their skills, with sessions covering modelling, animation, lighting and rendering.
Guidance will also be given on applying 3D skills to client projects and building a creative business.
Participants will receive six months of additional support after the main training ends.

How the programme works
Both bootcamps run in two phases.
Phase one lasts ten weeks and takes a hybrid format, with two in-person sessions at Quay Arts on the Isle of Wight and the remainder delivered online.
Phase two continues over six months, with monthly online sessions to provide ongoing development.
