Bembridge Heritage was begun in 1996 by a group of villagers wishing to save the past for the future. In 2019 they became a charity (Charity No. 1185187).

Their volunteers work with and for the community to share the history of Bembridge. They collect, record and present the rich heritage of the village and the surrounding area at Bembridge Heritage Visitor Centre in Weaver’s Yard.

Monthly meetings are held with speakers, films and archive events and stage an annual exhibition in Bembridge Village Hall. They also take topics from the archive out to care homes and groups.
